The native American Indian culture believes that people have a spirit guide, usually an animal such as an eagle or a wolf. In the leather/fetish community, we find many people who channel their inner animal and even identify as an animal; a wolf, a kitten, a bear, a rabbit and much more... even an ox! We at Pup Out identify with the canine family. For me, it is the only time where I can shut my brain down and live in the “here and now” rather than thinking of all the things I need to do, bills to pay, etc. It is also quite a workout, both physically and cardiovascularly.
This is about a form of role-play, or even a lifestyle, where a human takes on the characteristics of a canine. Role-play is a term used for shorter durations of play and lifestyle refers to those who want to maintain as much of their life as possible as a human dog. These people are often known as pups or dogs. The people that interact with them are known as handlers or trainers... or just dog lovers.
PupOut is designed to coordinate the promotion and education of the human pup and their trainers/handlers. It is 100% FREE and desires to remain that way. This is a resource FOR the community.
